Getting Raped Is Not The Fault of the Victim

People need to understand…getting raped/sexually assault is not because they wore revealing clothes or because they drank or they went into someone house. Last I check, there’s no checklist on “how not to get raped”. When it happens, it’s a surreal and overwhelming experience and can be done in even the most subtle and manipulative of situations. So instead of judging a victim/survivor of sexual assault like you’ve been raped/sexual assaulted, stand by them. Love them. Cherish them. Accept them. Most importantly, respect them. Attend classes on sexual assault awareness, teach the people about the wrong doings of sexual assault. Let’s a stand sexual assault and the rape culture that hurts our communities and loved ones.
